Navy OCS Graduation

As many of my regular readers know, one of my daughters was going through the Navy's intense Officer Candidate School in Newport, Rhode Island. Well, last month she graduated.

Wow... what a proud and emotional day for all of us.

It was a two day event, with a "pass and review" on the first day, in which my daughter was a platoon leader. It was pretty cool watching her bark out orders to the troops.
The second day started out with the graduating class showing us a "typical day" at OCS. Running and alot of push-ups!! Anytime and anywhere the Marine drill instructor deemed it necessary.
The graduation ceremony was very impressive, as the class received their commission as Ensigns in the U.S. Navy.
Making it through a tough program like this is such a great accomplishment, and I am very proud of her. Now she is off to her next adventure....Pilot Training!!

Until next time.....Proud Papa....Mike.
